Weird dream on Kuala Kumpur, Australia, Teh Tariks and Academic Transcripts

I had a weird dream. I dreamt that I had to fly back to Brisbane for some unsettled business (it wasn't explained) and I just went to the airport before flying off. My mom and sis who were at the airport didn't say a word (how weird).

After touching down and departing from the Brisbane airport, I looked around and felt lost as I couldn't recognize my surroundings. Although I was in Australia, it looked and felt like Kuala Lumpur with its dirty streets of shophouses! Totally not knowing what to do or any idea of where everything is, I boarded a bus (unexplained). To my surprise, there was a big bunch of young adults on the upper deck and I knew some of them, including Desmond from TJC and David from UQ. They ushered me to sit with them and I did, in front of Desmond who was sitting beside this quiet, bespectacled old lady. They asked what I was doing in Australia, to which I replied, "Unsettled business." After attracting the attention of their other friends, they started to ask me enthusiastically where I wanted to go and I was caught... I don't know! However, it came to me that I no longer have a copy of the academic transcript after submitting my only copy for my JET application (how uncanny's that!) and decide that to be my aim for going to Australia (duh). When further probed on where I'm heading, I could not recall where I used to live in Australia and I remained quiet at that moment, thinking of how hot the soup I have gotten myself into for flying to Australia for an academic transcript! It was then that the old lady started to enthusiastically make hand signs and tried to speak. I guess she was dumb. Suddenly I remembered - Indooroopilly! My friends understood and waved me to sit down and join them for a cup of tea.

It was almost dawn when we dropped off at an alien place. We walked a short distance to a coffeeshop (the Malaysian version) and started ordering breakfast instead. I went for a teh tarik and some roti prata (in Australia?). While worrying over how am I going to explain myself when I return back to Singapore and on the other hand comforted that I know I am heading somewhere (Indooroopilly), I woke up.

What a weird dream!
