Blue Banana, YF
Yesterday (till the wee hours of this morning) AD and I painted the town red again! We first went to St James Power Station's Firefly, to find that it was CLEO's 50 most eligible bachelors' night and there was a long queue so we didn't go in. We went to Movida instead, though we were a tad early and the crowd there were executives in their early thirties. After a one-for-one drink (it was happy hour), we left.
We joined EG, my room mate colleague at this salsa bar at Amara Hotel though it was a tad too bright for my liking (give me a dim place with shiny disco ball, someone!) After yet another drink, we went back to our favourite haunt, the Liang Court area of Orchard. We didn't go back to Rangawood in the end, and tried Blue Banana subsequently. A cool place, good music and much physical action amongst the predominantly Philippino crowds.
So that's the night! I crawled to the last lesson of Japanese for this term at PYAESS and it was difficult to say goodbye to YF, a high school mate whom I have not seen for years and it has been fun to have met her again. She's moving to another school so that she can attempt JLPT 2 at the end of the year. Gambatte ne!
Tomorrow! Two wedding meals and a holey wallet. Sigh!
