Visiting AHS - my alma mater
I went back to AHS today, my alma mater and a place with fond memories of my youth. I was very lucky to have gone back with an ex-schoolmate BD who hasn't been back to the school for some time. I have yet to meet her before I fly as well, so it was very nice to go with her.
BD started a photo-taking frenzy and I suddenly felt nostalgic. I guess since the last time I visited a year or two ago, I have seen it slowly change and hence it didn't felt as if a lot was missing.
It was quite fun to be catching up with whichever teachers are left. Most of them have either left or retired, which is small wonder actually since I graduated like a decade ago. All of them were so keen to know what I am up to next once I told them I was heading for Japan in 2 weeks that I felt like a JET Programme spokesperson as I tried to explain what it is all about. They were very supportive though, which was very nice of them.
After that I went down to River Valley to apply for the International Driving Permit so I can drive in Japan and finally went for a haircut at my favourite salon. You can check the results of that experience at another posting!
15 days left! How exciting!
